IFAD, with support of The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, has launched a scoping study to find out how to transform the goat value chain in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Odisha. The idea is to forge closer collaborations between government agencies, farmer producers and private sector so that the well being of farmers is enhanced, productivity improved, and greater value is realized from small ruminants. The document outlines what lies ahead.
