According to a Laboratory report, the nutrient content of willow silage has been as follows:

The Average (production) cost of silage per kg = Nu.2.8

Owing to shortage of fodder in winter season, had the fodder been cultivated for livestock,  a range of inorganic fertilizers would have been used. However Willow silage – an alternative winder fodder, is an eco-friendly option since it does not require the application of any inorganic fertilizers.
